I hate not running. Running is something that I love doing and I put a WHOLE lot of effort into it. When I am hurt I feel like a part of myself is missing. I hate time off but I am glad it is happening now and not later in the summer. I will be better because of this. I don’t know what I need to do to be better about not getting hurt but I am going to do my best to find it.

MONDAY

OFF-Due to foot

I’m not very happy. I’ll write more tomorrow.

TUESDAY

5:49 P.M. 5 Miles in 36:49

Run today was good, I am glad I got out and did it! Foot didn’t feel to bad and I am hoping that it continues to get better throughout the week. Today my teammate and great friend Cuyler came to run with me. I always love running and talking with Cuyler, he is just a cool inspiring dude. Love ya bro!

WEDNESDAY

6:24 P.M. 6 Miles in 42:55

Today was a great run, I stayed close to campus in case it started to rain hard. Tomorrow all I do is call which is in the afternoon for my job. So I will most likely get 6 miles in tomorrow morning which will be better than running in the humidity! :) Training is going well, pain in my foot is going down. I need to stay on top of it though so I can stay at this level of health!

THURSDAY

9:46 A.M. 6 Miles in 42:08

Today was a little speedy but nothing terrible, my plan was to do country Lisbon but there was a dog that chased me so I turned around and went back the way I came and explored Mount Vernon again. This summer I am trying to do different route than we did during the school year so I can have some variety. I start every route from my dorm which is a lot different. But I miss running with the boys and in a couple short months everyone will be back and we will all be on the Road To Nationals together :)

FRIDAY

7:31 P.M. 7 Miles in 48:34

I love baseball, it was one of my favorite sports growing up. When I was playing little league one thing that would always concern me is where all the foul balls went. Well today I found out, they go over the fence! Today I was running by Davis Park and there was a little league baseball game going on, and wouldn’t you know that I would run by the exact time a foul ball gets hit right to where I am running! I almost caught it/got hit by it. But I retrived it for the game and went on my way! The whole game clapped for me because I think they were concerned with my safety. Run was good, quick but felt super easy and controlled! On to the next one! Really starting to feel like myself again!

SATURDAY and SUNDAY

OFF

Will get back to normal training next week, foot is still a bit off so I want to ease into it.

Thanks for y’alls support

Gabe
