INJUSTICE

The world that we live in is one messed up place. I cannot begin to wrap my mind around what has transpired just in our country the last few weeks. I am beginning to feel numb to most of what is happening. Which is a scary place to be. But the reality is, the more that people become numb to things that are blatantly wrong, the more that they will continue to happen and happen more frequently.

The unrest that Minneapolis is facing is devastating. I can not imagine the way that African Americans are feeling. All I can do is lament over the brokenness, see how I can help, and then repent of the injustice of our nation.

Psalm 119:163

I hate and abhor falsehood, but I love your law.

This verse is how I feel right now. I feel so strongly against the events that have transpired in the past few days. The injustice in this situation is completely unfair.

But.

As a Christian, Jesus living a perfect life and dying for my sin is what I should be responding to the injustice that I feel in this present moment. While the circumstance is horrible, I will stand on the goodness of my savior.
